5 TIPS TO STAY POSITIVE

Have you ever had one of those days when you feel like nothing seems to be going right?! I have had several experiences like that, and believe me, it’s not something that I want to happen again anytime soon. All of us have had our so called “bad days.” What inspired me to write this article was the fact that I have seen so many of the people I know having such low days.
It’s really hard to be positive when everything is falling apart around you. It takes a lot of effort, but if you try, I can guarantee you that you will see things in a different perspective. It will allow you to open your horizons and look at things in a new light.  We tend to dwell on the negative because it’s the easiest way to deal with a problem or a challenge, but it will never help you solve anything. Here are some tips that I put into practice to stay positive even when I feel down and out:
1. Never dwell on a mistake – Forgive yourself and learn from the mistake. Dwelling on your mistake will only add to the stress and make you more unproductive.
2. Always look on the bright side of every situation – Is the cup half full or is it half empty? It boils down to a person’s attitude and outlook on life.
3. Today is not the end of the world – Tomorrow is a new day. There will be new hopes and new challenges that you need to conquer.
4. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you – This I practice a lot. Those people can be your source of guidance, your source of inspiration and your source of hope.
5. Convert challenges into possibilities – I am not saying to ignore the challenges or the problems. What I’m saying is that like in the number 2 tip above, there is always an opportunity to learn from that problem. It is an experience that one day may help others who have been in the same situation as you have been.
